Our first trekking today will be at Nyambu Village which just recently developed by their community there as a community-based ecotourism village. The village has ecological and historical potentials. Trekking along the clean and peaceful rice fields dikes, river, water temples you will see how important is the rice fields and the balance of nature in the life of the Balinese. Beside that you can also learn about their unique history about their village. At the end of your trekking we will stop at one of a house – you will be invited to come and learn to make local cake which is made for the offerings. After lunch we drive to Umabian village for your overnight.

After breakfast we leave the hotel and drive to the inner side of the island to Jatiluwih Village located in the rim of Mt. Batukaru. We drive up through beautiful and peaceful countryside to the elevation about 850 meters above sea level. Jatiluwih village is well known to its stunning view of rice terrace fields and has now been listed as one of world heritage by the UNESCO. To day you will trek on beautiful rice terraces with the background of Mount Batukaru with its lush and green rainforest. Meet the farmers at work at their rice fields, rivers and learn about some kind of vegetation that grows in the area. The other unique things about Jatiluwih village is the farmer here only grow red-rice (red colour sticky rice) unlike with other farmers do at the other part of Bali. Over about a two and half hour trekking will stop in a small restaurant for lunch before we drive back to Umabian.

Today after breakfast we check out at Umasari Villa, leave Umabian Village and we drive up to Munduk Village in the north area of Bali. We will stop by the Buyan Lake for your trekking today. After a short preparation you will do about 2,5 hours trekking around the magnificent beauty of nataure around the twin lakes; Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. Trek into the splendid tropical forest, exotic adventure in the heart of Balinese nature offers spectacular undisturbed natural beauty inhabited by a lot of beautiful flora and fauna – its a photographic opportunities.

 

After enjoying the trekking we will stop for refreshment and lunch at a small restaurant located at Munduk Village in the elevation about 1000m above sea level. From the restaurant we can see west coast line of Bali including west park, with coffee, cocoa, and clove plantation surrounding. It serves great local and international food with crispy fresh vegetables harvested from the area. This restaurant also has a coffee shop which has been turned into a small museum where you can observe traditional coffee roasting and grinding instruments. The friendly staff will disclose the secrets of coffee making and show you how to differentiate the strong Robusta beans from the smooth Arabica – the local powder is a balance mixture of both.

Munduk Village is famous for the nature lover; the spectacular landscape and has a variety of fascinating walks and treks. The village is surrounded by tropical rainforest, rice terraces and farms producing; coffee bean, clove, vanilla and etc. Visitors are welcome to explore this delightful landscape which is extremely suitable for any outdoors activities. The village is at the elevation about 900 meters above sea level and the average temperature is about 20 – 25 degrees Celcius. We can organise different kind of treks range from 2 hours to half day trip depending on your condition and preference.

A highlight of West Bali is trekking through West Bali National Park which is home to deer, wild pigs, black and macaque monkeys and a wide range of birdlife including the elusive Bali starling. A trek through the forest will almost always see the visitor spotting the local macaque monkey population, but those luckier will see the very timid large black monkeys, wild pigs or even deer.

Note: The canopy is fairly thick and sunscreen is not absolutely necessary, but mosquito spray is recommended. The forest is hot and humid and at times physically demanding so take plenty of water. Long pants and long sleeve shirt are not necessary, sturdy shoes are and a moderate level of fitness is advised.

(Need physically fit as the trek will be up and down to reach the stream and the waterfall).

We leave Lovina Beach and drive through the city of Singaraja to one of the most beautiful waterfall in Bali – Sekumpul, which is still belong to Buleleng region so it takes us about 40 minutes drive from Lovina to reach the starting point of the trekking. The highlight of the trekking in this area are; lush and green rainforest, beautiful rice terraces and of course the waterfall with the height about 100 meters from the top of the mountain. The splashing of the waterfall refreshes your body as soon as you reach the waterfall – you can swim at around the waterfall. Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and the change of clothes.

Back to the parking area again and we drive to Toya Bungkah down in a huge ancient crater of Mount Batur and by the lake of Lake Batur.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon at its natural hot spring pool – it is good to relaxing your muscle.

Today we will take you to a spectacular mountain trekking following the hidden path of rural Bali – we will explore a nearly untouched part of Bali. Enjoy a breathtaking view and learn about the sustainable development in rural, poor villages in the eastern Bali. It is truly unique experience that you will never forget. We have chosen a moderate route which begins at the lakeside village of Songan. From here we will trek through wild vegetation to the hamlet nestled along the hillside. Accompanied by experienced, English speaking guide and villagers, you will enjoy a part of the island that most Balinese are not even aware of. Learn about the challenges locals face and how help is provided while enjoying the tranquility of this remote area and stunning views of Lake Batur and the Indian Ocean. Around lunch time, we will relax near by the beach and enjoy the delicious meals before heading to Candidasa.

This morning we will explore another more beautiful nature of the eastern Bali can offer – we will hikes around Sibetan Village. Takes about 30 minutes from your hotel you stay up to the lush and green hills dominated by Salak fruit or snake skin fruits. The local tour guide will take you to have about 3 hours trek exploring the stunning and panoramic view of rice fields, rainforest, hills and valleys. The trekking will end up at the local house and you will be served a delicious local lunch. We can add some daily activities there with the local family before you get back to the hotel.
