Pick up from the lobby of the resort for the tour around Ubud – the artistic heart of Bali. First visit is at NEKA Museum from which tourist can also learn very closely the history of Balinese arts, culture as well as the daily life of Bali through the masterpieces of well known Balinese artist as well as foreign artist once who resided in Bali for long time.  Then walk around in the rainforest beneath the lush and green towering trees to enjoy the nature and the monkeys inhabit the rainforest. We visit Gunung Kawi ancient pilgrimage of King Udayana the first king that ruled in Bali, then we drive to Tegalalang village to see beautiful view of terraced rice fields before proceed to see spectacular sight of thousands White Heron arriving homes in Petulu Village. They nest on the trees along the road through the village, and make a spectacular sight as they fly in and commence squabbling over the prime perching places. We drive en-route back to Ubud center for dinner (not included) and Balinese performance at the Ubud Palace.

This morning we will take you to trek the lush and green interior at Jatiluwih which has the widest and the most spectacular terraced rice field in Bali. Your guide will enlighten you on the Balinese farming traditions, villages and farmland in the fertile volcanic foothills of the Batukaru Mountains. You will see abundance of tropical fruit, spices, coffee, vegetables, and flowers. It’s no wonder that the community here is considered Bali’s farming elite – they have created a true masterpiece – an endless and intricate jigsaw of finely-curved rice terraces in brilliant shade of green, with glistening waters, so soothing to the eyes. We then proceed to explore the culture of Bali and take you further and deeper into the traditional way of life of the Balinese at a small village which has beautiful landscape in the rim of lush and green of Mount Batukaru.

Balinese Breakfast
After breakfast we visit local market to buy some ingredients or Visit garden to pick up some ingredients. We learn and practice on Balinese cooking on traditional recipes and make your own delicious lunch.

In the afternoon we will take a short trekking to the rice neighboring rice field en-route we can learn about many kinds of plantation that very well grown in the villager such as coffee, cacao, bamboo and etc. In the rice field we than learn about traditional cultivation of local rice, unique Balinese irrigation system, plowing a field with cows, and paddy plantation. (sandals, short and t shirt is recommended)

After fun activities we go back to the home stay by riding local transportation.

Leave Jatiluwih Village in the morning for the drive to Pemuteran – northern coast of Bali. Passing trough the lush and green countryside, Lake Beratan and then up to forest by the beutiful Lake Buyan.

Buyan Jungle Trekking
After a short preparation you will do about 2,5 hours trekking around the magnificent beauty of nataure around the twin lakes; Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. Trek into the splendid tropical forest, exotic adventure in the heart of Balinese nature offers spectacular undisturbed natural beauty inhabited by a lot of beautiful flora and fauna – its a photographic opportunities.

After enjoying the trekking we will stop for refreshment and lunch at a small restaurant located at Munduk Village in the elevation about 1000m above sea level. From the restaurant we can see west coast line of Bali including west park, with coffee, cocoa, and clove plantation surrounding. It serves great local and international food with crispy fresh vegetables harvested from the area. This restaurant also has a coffee shop which has been turned into a small museum where you can observe traditional coffee roasting and grinding instruments. The friendly staff will disclose the secrets of coffee making and show you how to differentiate the strong Robusta beans from the smooth Arabica – the local powder is a balance mixture of both.

Drive down to the hotel at Pemuteran through the hidden countryside beautiful stop opportunity for photography or just enjoy the view.

Taman Sari Resort

After breakfast we cross the narrow strait of water by local boat to MenjanganIisland. The trip by local boat from the hotel beach takes about 30-40 minutes and there is an excellent view of the East Javanese Volcano from a distance as you make your way over. Menjangan Island is part of the West Bali National Conservation and only just a small island about 3 km in length and 0,7km in width. The name of the island is derived from its wild Javanese deer “Menjangan” that inhabit the island. There is no fresh water resources in the island and also no run – off so the beach are beautiful and the surrounding waters are known for their exceptional visibility. Best for snorkeling or just relax and enjoy the pristine beach.

Overnight at Pemuteran

A highlight of West Bali is trekking through West Bali National Park which is home to deer, wild pigs, black and macaque monkeys and a wide range of birdlife including the elusive Bali starling. A trek through the forest will almost always see the visitor spotting the local macaque monkey population, but those luckier will see the very timid large black monkeys, wild pigs or even deer.

Note: The canopy is fairly thick and sunscreen is not absolutely necessary, but mosquito spray is recommended. The forest is hot and humid and at times physically demanding so take plenty of water. Long pants and long sleeve shirt are not necessary, sturdy shoes are and a moderate level of fitness is advised.

Leave Pemuteran at the north coast and drive to Sanur the south coast with a stop for lunch at Pupuan Village another lush and green area with its beautiful rice fields and rain forest. After lunch we proceed to Sanur for overnight.
